The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) has several high-tech conference rooms equipped with state-of-the-art audio visual equipment. Director of Audio Visual Aaron Louis and his team commissioned me to create a series of detailed instruction manuals to guide internal staff to better use the technical capabilities and reduce calling for support.
The complex process involved video documentation, observing and interviewing tech savvy and luddite users, creating detailed illustrations of the systems, technical writing, testing multiple iterations, and designing concise, easy-to-follow instructions. The resulting series of custom manuals for 8 conference and a film screening room are in circulation throughout MoMA in both physical and interactive PDF format.
