For the 10th Anniversary National Worker Cooperative Conference, TYTHEdesign was approached by US Federation of Worker Cooperatives and Democracy at Work Institute to develop a full branding and web design campaign. They were interested in having stronger, more cohesive identity and messaging to rally workers and worker cooperatives around the nation.
After strategy sessions and through the creative direction of Kristina Drury of TYTHEdesign, I developed a clean brand identity, 20 unique icons, printed poster, design guidelines, and full website design for the conference. The goal was to create designs and content management systems that would allow for longevity in future. We managed the web developers, Arrow Root Media, for whom I provided wireframes, sitemap, detailed visual mockups, typographic layouts, banner and button design, form templates, as well as guidance on ticketing and database management.
The inspiration came from the worker cooperatives themselves with reference to beehives and thus hexagons. As a result, 400+ inspired participants and hundreds of worker cooperatives and international guests experienced the elevated presence of this important conference.
