As Online Producer and Graphic Designer at EmcArts, I was the first designer ever hired at the company creating a range of print and web collateral to strengthen the brand identity and elucidate the complex concepts and learning for furthering innovation in the arts. EmcArts exists to strengthen the capacities and effectiveness of nonprofit arts and cultural organizations, so these materials were crucial in communicating clearly and allowing organizations to champion the learning on their own.
Along with Karina Mangu-Ward, Director of Activating Innovation at EmcArts, we built ArtsFwd.org, a participatory online community of arts and culture leaders committed to doing things differently. Using my deep personal ties to the arts and culture community, we engaged the community daily by sharing stories, providing tools, and fostering dialogue through blog posts, infographics, toolkits and activities, active social media engagement, and in-person events. I created print and web collateral, maintained the brand across all materials, managed the various social media platforms, edited short videos, and monitored our analytics exhibiting our significant impact in the arts and culture sector.
